Franklin Library Facts

The Franklin Elementary Library houses approximately 7,800 books.
We offer a wide variety of Easy Fiction, Chapter Fiction, Nonfiction, and Reference books.
Books are leveled based on the Accelerated Reader (AR) system.
We have a Polyvision Interactive board and four student computers.
The library uses an oline catalog called Destiny Quest (library.lehighton.org)
Mrs. Harris is the Librarian.
Mrs. Kline is the Library Paraprofessional.

2015 Scholastic Book Fair

During this year's book fair we raised over $4,000!
This money helped us purchase almost 180 new books for the Library!!!

NEW!
MakerSpace

Through the generosity of LEAF, Franklin was able to create a MakerSpace in our library!
A MakerSpace is a creative area focused on collaboration and teamwork using STEM related tools and activities.
We are now the proud owners of robots, lego sets, gyrobots, snap circuts, and many other fun and
educational products.  Beginning in the 2016-2017 school year students will be given the opportunity to work
with these products during our "Maker Mornings."  Details will be given out at the beginning of the school year!
