This course is designed to provide college bound science or pre-med students with an introduction of Organic Chemistry. Much of the time is spent on naming organic compounds and studying reactions and reaction mechanisms.

Attendance plays a major role in a student's success in this course.  It is very important that students are present to hear explanations and participate in class discussions, examples, and activities.  Sometimes, an absence just can not be prevented/avoided.  Handouts for each unit can be found on this website under the Organic Chemistry tab.  If a student is absent, it is their responsibility to get their notes and class examples from other students and ask the teacher any questions in regards to the material being taught.
