Mrs. Amber Roxby
Hello! My name is Amber Roxby. The 2019-2020 school year will be my 7th year teaching STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) at Conemaugh Township Elementary School. I have one of the best jobs in the building. I take pride in knowing that STEAM allows our students to be the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century. A normal day in our classroom consists of building clay mugs, robotic Legos, bridge models, watercolor paintings, programing our friends, Dot and Dash, and so much more! I also serve as an instructor for RTII (Response to Instruction and Intervention) for students in Kindergarten, first, and second grade.
I have been married to my husband, Robbie for four years. We have two beautiful little boys, Henry (Hank) and Nelson and one more little guy on the way! They keep us on our toes at all times! Our family also shares the joy of a 14-year-old lab/collie mix, Milo. I rescued him from the Cambria County Humane Society when he was just a puppy.
I graduated from Conemaugh Township Area School District in 2007. I went on to graduate with honors from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education (k-6) in 2012. I am also a certified Reading Specialist (PK-12).
