Health semester .5 credits
Health education is a state required course that all students must pass in order to graduate. Health education includes instruction in the concepts and skills which affect personal, family and community health, nutrition, the prevention of alcohol, chemical and tobacco use, and violence prevention. Some topics include (but are not limited to): wellness, stress, social responsibility, safety, first aid, relationships, chronic and communicable diseases, fitness, nutrition, chemical use and its consequences, and evaluation of valid health information. (Grade 11)
Physical Education (Grades 9-12) semester .5 credits
Physical education is required for all students and offered on a semester basis. Students will be assigned to a physical education class that will meet five periods a week for either the first or second semester of each year. The program is varied to accommodate the various seasons.

STEM II semester .5 credit
Students will use the knowledge and concepts taught in STEM I to explore in greater depth the various areas of technology including Biotechnology, Information technology, and Physical technology. Students will work alone or in pairs at the various technology modules. These modules include Aerodynamics Technology, Alternative Energy, Basic Electricity, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Publishing, Construction Technology, Digital Photography, Digital Video Production, Electronics Technology, Mulimedia Production, Navigation and GPS, Space Technology, CNC Mill, and CNC Lathe. Learning will be computer-based and all modules have hands-on activities of projects. (Grades 9-12)
Safety Education semester .5 credits
This classroom phase consists of 30 hours of instruction in motor vehicle safety and other related areas of safety. Defensive driving is stressed. Problems, which have been created within our society since the advent of the auto and what we must do as drivers to counteract the problems that have arisen, will be discussed. (Grade 10)
