 Start Right Readers/Rafts, My Rafting Trip

Phonics Skill /r controled vowels

Grammar Skills/  Capitals, and Periods, Nouns, Verbs, Adverbs, Adjectives,  Suffixes, Prefixes

 Vocabulary Strategies/Antonyms, ed, ing, Proper Nouns un, re, Context Clues

 High Frequency Words/after, better, father, letter, over, paper, river, together, under, water      

Spelling Words : r controlled vowel

Power Words: arranged, ashamed, attended, current, elder, immigrant, overflowing,  pride, settled, soared, statements, timeline, vanashing, wilderness  

Wednesday/ Sentence Day

Students will practice writing sentences.

 

Thursday /Spelling  Pre test Day

 

Friday/ Final Test Day

Writers Workshop/ This week we will write about working out disagreements, and Halloween topics.   Keep a journal of thoughts, stories, poems, songs, or whatever you want to write about.  Just make sure you are writing!  :)  

 

 Always  check student reading folder.

Read each night from student assigned reading book.

Practice spelling words each night . (Say it, Spell it, Say it, Write it)
