Family and Consumer Science
We are studying Safety and Sanitation in the kitchen. This week the students have been reading Chap 34 in the Today's Teen textbook and filling out a Study Guide from the chapter. I will be reviewing safety and sanitation procedures in the classroom with them before we move on to the next chapter. There has been no homework with this chapter as all of the work has been done together in the classroom.
Students have a long-term assignment due on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. This assignment is for them to complete a Food and Exercise Log for one week. They have to write down everything they are eating and drinking all day, every day and what they are doing for exercise all day, every day. They should be doing some of this at home. They must do this over the Labor Day weekend as well. The assignment will be collected on Tuesday when they return to school.
