Discuss the three presidential elections that occurred during the time covered in the chapter: 1792, 1796, and 1800. How were they alike? Different? Why has the election of 1800 often been referred to as a political revolution within the new republic? What was revolutionary about the results?
**Research each election. Who were the major candidates? What issues did they support? How did the election impact the United States? How were the elections carried out?
