Library Policies

                      Circulation Policy:

 
  • Students are allowed to check out  library books for a period of two weeks.
 
  • Students may check out as many books as they are able to properly care for and return on time.
 
  • Students are able to renew a book one time for another two week period if they renew before the due date has passed.
 
  • If a student has an overdue book, they will receive a notice in homeroom and they must return the book as soon as possible.
 
  • At the end of each 9 week period, students with overdue books will not be allowed to attend in-school activities until the overdue books are returned to the library.   
 
  • If a book has been lost or damaged, the student is responsible to reimburse to the library for the cost of a replacement book.

 Open Library Guidelines:

To facilitate the working environment of the library, students will be expected

to follow the library guidelines listed

 

  • Students may sign up at morning homeroom period to come to the library during lunch periods for individual research or reading.

 

  • Students coming from a class must enter  the library with the group pass issued by the classroom teachers.  Students who do not come in with the pass will be sent back to their classrooms. 

 

  • All students must come to the library prepared to use library resources.

 

  • Students must maintain a working environment by sitting two to a table and working quietly

 

  • All students must show respect to the library staff, students, and materials.

 

  • When leaving the library, students will neaten their work area, replace all library materials, collect all their belongings and push in your chairs.
