We have started our Clothing unit.  The students are using a ruler to make drawings.  They need to be able to read the ruler to use a tape measure when sewing the hat project that they will be making.  The objectives for this lesson are:  

Demonstrate the correct use of a ruler.

Measure lines for a picture.

Read the ruler correctly.

Follow directions.

They will also be learning to reuse or repurpose items of clothing, recycle clothing, and sew something new.

There will be no homework, as they need to be here to do the work they are doing.
