- Memiary is a great website that will tell you what you did this day in the past. You create a username and password to sign up and you can record up to five things that you do each day. This would be great for students to use as a daily journal that they can look back on throughout the years. I would have students write new facts that they learned, as well as special things that happened to them throughout the day.
- Education Place has premade worksheets with different types of graphic organizers. One that I especially liked was the "Garden Gate", I would use this as a timeline for a story or book. I like that it has different types of organizers instead of using the typical KWL chart, and story maps.
- Mind 42 allows you to put your thoughts into any graphic organizer of your choice. This can also serve as a type of interactive journal for older students. This site allows you to upload pictures, and shape the organizers any way you want. Another thing about this site is you can make the organizers public for other users to see and comment on. I think this would make a great tool for classroom journals, and newsletters.
- Free Timeline would be a great tool to use while teaching historical events. It allows you to share the timelines online, and also gives a variety of options on how to create your timeline. After typing in your information, it will sequence the events in order making it very user friendly for students.
- Wufoo creates online databases, and other online forms for you after giving the information that you want. You can also create polls and display the results. This could be interesting to show students how voting works, and help them understand the process as well.
