In my opinion, augmented reality is going to have a major impact not only on our schools but on our entire everyday life from getting up in the morning to what we do at work and in our personal lives. I created the page below as part of a workshop I did at an international technology conference: SITE. Visit the link and answer the questions. (10 points)

- Define Augmented Reality.
Augmented reality is a view of the physical world, overlaid by digital content.
- Give an example of how you could use augmented reality in the classroom? Be specific.
Using augmented reality in the classroom could be really useful if it was done right. I think a great way to use this would be on field trips. Students could take pictures with their device, and then the device could give them all the information they would need about whatever they took the picture of. Another way to implement this would be over weekends, if the student were to do something exciting, they could take a picture, learn the information, and share it with the class.
- Do you see a future for this technology?
I think that there could be a great future for this technology if everyone was willing to learn and understand how it works. To use in the classroom would take training, and also require all students to have some typ of device to aid them
- What is the difference between augmented reality and virtual reality?
Virtual reality is a view of just that, a virtual world. This means that you are viewing a computer image of a place, where in augmented reality it is a view of the real world with digital enhancements.
