Virtual Field Trips

If time permitted, I would do more with this topic but for this class, I am only going to ask you to visit the links below and CHOOSE one virtual field trip that interests you and how you could use it in class. (5 points) Follow this format:

I used techtrekers.com, and went on the tour of American in 1831
  • Why it interests you
This interested me because I have a focus in history and geography. This virtual field trip had so many details about what life was like at this time in America, and gave a better description than most textbooks probably would.
  • How you could use it in class (Education majors only have to answer this one)
There are so many ways you can use these virtual field trips in the classroom! I would use them as a break from direct instruction, allow students to explore the trip on their own and answer questions to share with the class, and even as a way for children to explore topics that they have an interest in while still being educational.
