EXTRA CREDIT:

A ONE POINT to student's Final Average will be given for "History Walks" in the Local Area.  Walks include the Moravian Burial Site/Jacob Weiss Burial Site/Ben Franklin Statue & Well Site, The Lehigh Canal, The Lehigh Gorge, The Appalachian Trail, Mauch Chunk Museum and Cultural Center in Jim Thorpe, and etc.  Any place that immerses the student in local history.  A one page description of the walk explaining where you walked and what was learned must be completed.  Must be signed and dated within this school year by both the parent and the student.  Students may earn up to 2 points per marking period with a maximum of 6 points the entire year.  Walks may be taken at anytime during the school year.  Walks taken now can be applied to any marking period the student chooses.
