Hi boys and girls. Are you tired of being stuck at home? How about let’s go on a virtual field trip?! Or do you want to be an astronaut when you grow up? Are you interested in space? Join the NASA kids club! Need some creativity? How about you do a STEM challenge!
The following is a suggested daily schedule:
- Complete a mini lesson from Mystery Science including one extension (Reading, online resources, or activity)
- Take an ASU Virtual Field Trip or work in NASA Kids Club
- Go into Foss for an online activity/streaming video or Brainpop for an animated movie/interactive quiz.

Investigation Assessments:
Once investigations are complete, students will use their notebooks to explain their understanding of the essential question. We completed two essential questions so far: "What is air?" and "What is atmosphere?" They did an investigation using compressed air in plastic syrgines (provided by FOSS, there are no needles on these). We also read and took notes on our atmosphere and weather observations. All these experiences provided students with enough background to write their understanding. The attached rubric will explain how these essays will be graded.FOSS Scoring guidelines Rabenold.docx
