This introductory chapter will help you better understand yourself and your personality. During this unit, we will explore topics relevant to self-esteem, self-concept, character, and adulthood.
By the end of this two-and-a-half week chapter, you should be able to answer the following essential questions confidently and completely.
What is personality?
What are all the possible ways your personality development can be affected?
What are the most important influences on our personality development?
How does your growth as a person affect your personality?
How does your self-concept affect your self-esteem?
What behaviors help build character?
What does it mean to be a responsible adult?
What does it mean to be a good citizen?
How do personal expectations and experiences shape our personality?
How can one overcome obstacles to being a responsible adult?
