Your Heredity and Personality
"We know what a person thinks, not when he tells us what he thinks, but by his actions."
-Isaac Bashevis Singer, writer
During the second unit of the year, we will examine the effect that heredity has on personality development. Additionally, we will discuss family development from a genetic standpoint. As an evaluation of this chapter, you will be creating your own family tree. Bob Marley said it best, "if you know your history, then you would know where you're coming from."
By the end of this two week chapter, you should be able to answer the following essential questions completely and confidently.
What is heredity and how does it affect your personality development?
How does the process of heredity work?
How does heredity determine your characteristics?
How are twins conceived/born?
How do you chart family history?
How do inherited characteristics affect your development?
