Why should students learn keyboarding? Students need to know proper keyboarding technique so they can keyboard with proficient speed and accuracy and maximize their time on the computer.
 
Keyboarding practice begins at the Kindergarten level with identifying letters on the keyboard and using some of the major keyboard keys, such as spacebar, enter, and shift.  We will also use appropriate sitting position and use two hands when typing.  
 
We are going to use Jungle Jr. typing program to start slowing learning where the keys are located on the keyboard.  If the students enjoy this program, please feel free to use at home.  Just click the link above and use his/her lunch number for both the username and password.
