Kindergarten We are making pages for our Kindergarten Art Book. We are learning about Primary Colors (red, blue, yellow) for our first page. Then we used our Primary Colors on our second page when we learned about patterns. We used our primary colors in a pattern to create a caterpillar. For our third page, students will be learning about our Secondary Colors. They used play-dough to practice how to mix 2 primary colors together to create a secondary color and then used their play-dough to create sculptures. For our third page we will use paint to create blotter bugs and continue learning how to mix two primary colors together to create a secondary color. On the fourth page, students will be learning about textures. The fifth page we'll be learning about warm colors (red, orange, and yellow). The sixth page we'll be learning about the cool colors (blue, green, and purple). The seventh page we'll be learning about the neutral colors (black, white, gray, brown). The eighth page we will be learning how to use our imaginations. Students will draw anything that they want from their imagination. They can create new monsters, creatures, animals, or imaginary lands. Our ninth page we will be learning about shapes. Once we color in the shapes, they will be cut out to create a shape person on their paper. Our tenth and final page will be Self Portraits and a little letter telling their name, age, and school where they created their Kindergarten Art Book! :)
*These will be sent home at the end of the school year for a wonderful keepsake!
