Welcome to the New Year!

We have jumped straight in to assessments for the second nine week period.  You will receive report cards on the 22nd, unless we have a snow day before then.  

Please check your child's binder sleeve for the 3rd nine week word list.  There will be 75 words to know for the next nine weeks and then we will finish with the ful list of 95 for the last quarter.  Thanks so much for working so diligently on the lists!  It really does make all the difference when we are moving through reading groups.

Something to focus on for the nine weeks would be rhyming.  Many children are getting quite good at this, but extra practice is needed for some of us.

We will cross our fingers for some snow to play in... the kid's are anxious to have snowy recess time!  Thanks for sending snowpants and boots for recess.
