Homework

Should be an average of 40 minutes per night and is assigned Monday through Thursday.

Math practice and/or challenge work will be assigned each night.  30 minutes of independent reading and Reading Response Journal entries Monday - Thursday.  A thoughtful response journal entry should take at least 10 minutes.

Science and social studies as needed.

It is your prerogative whether you help your child with their homework.  I do not expect you to do it for them, but even if they do not understand how to do an assignment, they should bring something in to school to show an effort. If you help your child with homework please let me know that s/he is not completing it alone.

Agenda

Communication between school and home.  Students are responsible for recording daily homework assignments and bringing it to and from school everyday.  Please review and sign after child completes homework.
