Everything you know about yesterday or today has been brought to you by The News.  Journalism is known as "The Fourth Estate", that is, the Fourth Branch of any government. It is also currently in the midst of a revolution as to how News is delivered, and most importantly, what is news.  Broadcasting, including Television, are some of the most powerful of any communications medium, and will continue to be into the 21st Century.  These courses are designed to enable students to use this information throughout their lives: to be critical evaluators of What is the Truth, and what is manipulated in the News and media. Broadcast Basics offer information about how to broadcast, evaluate video manipulative techniques, and basic video production.  Television Production gives real, hands-on experince in creating a student driven, daily Live Television News broadcast that is seen throughout the School District.  These three interconnected courses offer students real life skills that they will call on for the rest of their lives.
