          Geisinger Hospice offers Camp Courage for students ages 7 - 18 who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life.  At Camp Courage, students have fun while learning how to deal with their grief in a safe and supportive environment.  Activities include making a memory box, balloon release, frustration release activities, music and art therapy sessions.  Free time can be spent cuddling therapy dogs, paddle boating, rock wall climbing, zip line, archery and fishing.  Students can attend camp May 15-17, 2020 (registration deadline April 15) OR October 9-11, 2020 (registration deadline September 8).  If interested, please see Mrs. Sellers for an application.  Contact Susan Smith at Geisinger for more information at 570-784-1723 or Susan.Smith3@LHCgroup.com. 

 

          Lebanon Valley College offers an Actuarial Science Summer Camp for students interested in the field.  Actuarial science is the discipline that applies mathematical and statistical methods to assess risk in insurance, finance and other industries and professions.  Apply online at Lebanon Valley's website or email Dr. Patrick Brewer at brewer@lvc.edu. 

 

              Freshman – Juniors – The Pennsylvania American Legion, PA State Police, and PA National Guard sponsor the State Police Youth Week (June 7 – 13, 2020 at York College).  This program is intended to increase understanding among youth of Pennsylvania and its law enforcement.  The program is open to male and female students age 15 – 17.  Interested students should see Mrs. Sellers.

 

            Sophomores & Juniors – Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW) is a summer economics education program offered to current sophomores and juniors.  It is an interactive, hands-on program that teaches students to understand and celebrate the American free enterprise system by introducing them to the inner workings of modern 21st century business.  PFEW helps students develop critical skills in communication, leadership, time management, problem solving and team building all while improving their self-esteem and confidence.  Interested students should visit www.pfew.org.

 

          Sophomores & Juniors – The University of Pittsburgh Health Career Scholars Academy introduces students to the world of health care, including issues of primary care, prevention, public health, career exploration, human growth and development, and areas of practice.  This program is open to sophomores and juniors.  For more information, visit www.hcsa.pitt.edu. 

 

          Sophomores & Juniors – Gettysburg College offers several opportunities for sophomores and juniors to attend academic camps over the summer months.  Those camps include:
