Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY)- is a summer leadership conference for sophomores.  There is a fee for the conference.  More information is available in the Guidance Office or visit www.hoby.org.

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center Volunteer Program-This is a great opportunity for students aged 14 and older to explore future career options while learning new things, building confidence, and helping their community.  More information and applications are available at www.conemaugh.org/volunteer.

Pennsylvania School for Global Entrepreneurship (PSGE) - at Lehigh University on July 3-July 30, 2016 for current sophomores and juniors.  This is the former Governor's School.  More information and applications are available athttp://www.iacocca-lehigh.org/Iacocca/psge/. Application deadline is February15, 2016.

University of Pittsburgh Health Scholars Academy (UPHCSA)- held on June 26-July 23, 2016 for current sophomores and juniors.  This is the former Governor's School. More information and applications are available atwww.hcsa.pitt.edu.  Application deadline is February 15, 2016. 

App Inventor Academy -  a residential camp at St. Francis University on June 26-July 1, 2016 for current 10th and 11th Grade Students.  Students will develop applications for Android phones using the MIT App Inventor.  Students earn 2 college credits in Computer Science.  The camp cost is $400.  Registration forms are available in the Guidance Office.  Application deadline is April 15, 2016.

Environmental Engineering Design Academy- a residential camp at St. Francis University on June 26-July 1, 2016 for current 10th and 11th Grade Students. Students will work to construct a solution to an authentic issue in environmental engineering, for example, design a drinking water treatment system, or protecting the soil, air, and water from pollution.  Students will earn 1 credit for Engineering.  The cost is $350.  Registration forms are available in the Guidance Office.  Application deadline is April 15, 2016.

Protein Chemistry Academy- a residential camp at St. Francis University on June 26-July 1, 2016 for current 10th and 11th Grade Students.  Students will learn about the chemistry of proteins by working with hands-on models and will also gain lab experience by growing cells.  Students will earn 2 college credits.  The cost of the camp is $400.  Registration forms are available in the Guidance Office.  Application deadline is April 15, 2016.

Gaming Academy- a residential camp at St. Francis University on July 10-July 15, 2016 for current 10th and 11th Grade Students.  Students will have the opportunity to experience aspects of game design and production, including programming, story mapping, and graphic design.  Students will also learn about careers in gaming through experts in the industry.  Students will earn 2 college credits.  The camp cost is $400.  Registration forms are available in the Guidance Office.  Application deadline is April 15, 2016.

Science of Exercise Physiology Academy- a residential camp at St. Francis University on July 10-July 15, 2016 for current 10th and 11th Grade Students.  Students will study the physiology of exercise, experience and appreciate why the body responds to exercise the way it does, collect and analyze data, and communicate the results to others.  Students will earn 2 college credits.  The camp cost is $400.  Registration forms are available in the Guidance Office.  Application deadline is April 15, 2016.

3D Printing Academy - a residential camp at St. Francis University on July 17-July 22, 2016 for current 10th and 11th Grade Students.  Students will learn the basics of designing 3D objects by learning how to use several 3D modeling applications.  Students earn 2 Computer Science credits.  The cost of the camp is $400.  Registration forms are available in the Guidance Office.  Application deadline is April 15, 2016.

From Dragons to DNA Academy- a residential camp at St. Francis Universitu on July 17-July 22, 2016 for current 10th and 11th Grade Students.  Students will visit a number of local habitats to study and sample dragonflies, plants, microbes, and other creatures, then they'll investigate their DNA, proteins, and potential as biofuels.  Students will earn 2 college credits in Science.  The camp cost is $400.  Registration forms are available in the Guidance Office.  Application deadline is April 15, 2016.
