Financial Aid Information

Applying for Financial Assistance:

The most important step in applying for financial assistance is to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

The FAFSA can be filed after January 1, 2016.  You need your 2015 tax information to complete the FAFSA.  You want to file as soon as possible, because some funding sources are first come first served.  Make sure that you complete your FAFSA by your college deadline.

You complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov or www.fafsa.ed.gov.  You do not have to pay to complete the FAFSA.

Student and Parent sign the FAFSA electronically with a FSA ID.  Apply for a FSA ID atwww.studentaid.ed.gov/fsaid

After you complete the FAFSA click on the link to complete the PA State Grant Application.  You can also access the State Grant Application at www.aessuccess.org.

Any questions completing the the FAFSA call 1-800-433-3243 or contact Mrs. Birkhimer in the Guidance Office.
