Back-to-School Letter

Dear Parents, 

     Welcome to our 2013-2014 school year at Ferndale Area Elementary.  I am very excited to have your child in my classroom this year. I am planning many exciting hands-on lessons that will make learning fun. Your child will participate in whole group, small group and individual instruction in many subject areas. My goal is to create a productive classroom environment that is structured and organized.  This site was designed to foster the lines of communication between home and school. I will be posting homework assignments daily as well as other useful information on this site. Your child will also bring home a planner each night containing their daily assignments. ( Homework is usually given Monday-Thursday.)   I believe that by us working together we can make this a very successful year.  I will keep you informed of your child's progress as often as I can, as well as send home a progress report mid-way through each marking period.
