    Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year and to second grade. My name is Mary Kivisto, and I will be your child's teacher for the year. Second graders are busy learning language arts, math, cursive handwriting, science and social studies.

    It is my responsibility to get the second grade students ready for the third grade. I am going to need your help. I am hoping we can work together to achieve our goals. Students that listen, follow the rules and do their homework will be rewarded throughout the school year. I am looking forward to celebrating the successes of every student.
