Choices and Consequences
"The choices we make, not the chances we take determine our destiny.”
-Unknown
During the fourth unit of this course, we will discuss the difference between choices and decisions. The two are always connected, but they are not the same. To help with this, we will explore the poor choices that people make at various stages of their life. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to review and critique the decisions that people (famous and everyday) are making. The goal is that you are able to understand how to predict the consequences of a decision or choice before it becomes too late.
By the end of this eight-to-nine day unit, you should be able to answer the following essential questions completely and confidently.
What is the difference between a decision and a choice?
How can you learn to understand the consequences of your actions?
How do consequences change as you get older?
Who is the best person to teach you about choices and consequences?
