PA VALUE ADDED ASSESSMENT SYSTEM
We have been using the Pennsylvania Value Added Assessment System (PVAAS) to assist us in developing our curriculum and instruction to better meet the needs of our students. PVAAS uses PSSA assessment data to enable us to look at growth of cohorts of students over time. We can also predict whether students will be proficient on the next PSSA test in science, writing, reading, or math based on at least two years of previous data. PVAAS has been accessible by the public since February 1, 2011. Parents and community members will be able to view district and school level reports as well as compare our schools to others in Pennsylvania.
