Welcome to 9th Grade Technology Education
Woodworking Processes II is a career-oriented course designed to give students a greater understanding of the importance of the materials and processes involved in advanced woodworking, cabinet making, and architectural woodworking. The course is designed to develop advanced skill in wood production, as well as create an understanding and appreciation of the woodworking industry. Areas of study include: wood material technology, design in woodworking, advanced operations on woodworking machines, advanced finishing methods and techniques, industry standards, occupational groups, and customizing with inlays, veneers, laminates, and fiberglass. All areas of study stress possible career opportunities and the importance of woodworking in our lives. Major projects of an advanced design are required.
