Homework

 There is not a lot of HW for READ180. 

Homework must be completed and handed in on time. If HW is not complete, students will stay in for recess and complete assignment. The 3rd time the student misses work, the student and teacher will call home. IF there is a fourth occurance of missed work the student will have lunch detention. Mistakes on HW will be handed back as a fix-up and need to be returned 2 days later corrected.

 

* In October-
Every other Monday, the students will begin to have E-READS for homework. After the homework assignment is completed, your child will have to complete a 10 question quiz on the reading.

 

* Also in October- Spelling- Once a month your child will be given 15-20 spelling words and a
tic-tac-toe grid. The tic-tac-toe grid gives your child choices on what they
would like to complete. Attached is a copy of this sheet.

* Read Naturally Homework- This will help your child with fluency. Attached is an explanation of
how to complete the assignment. Possibly once a week.

* Other times-
Students will have other assignments in between, such as grammar, spelling or
vocabulary worksheets. Possibly twice a month.

*Quarterly 5^th grade reading reports/projects.
