This book "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is now a movie (Sept. 2012) which was actually filmed in Pittsburgh.

Fallen is the first book in the series.  It's a supernatural novel, full of suspense.  Lauren Kate is a very popular young adult (YA) author right now.

"Divergent" is fast becoming very popular amongst Hunger Games fans.  It is a science fiction novel and does have a sequel titled, "Insurgent," which we have also!  The movie is due out in March 2014.

 

The Hobbit came out in  December 2012!  If you've ever read The Lord of the Rings trilogy (or watched the movies), this is the prequel to those stories.  Of course, if you haven't read it, come down and get it.  You'd never watch the movie before reading the book first, right?  Of course...that's what I thought. 

 

Beautiful Creatures is a series many of you love.  The trailer is a bit dramatic, but I guess that 's what makes you love it??  Movie was out in Feb. 2013. 

 

City of Bones, the first book in the Mortal Instruments series, out in August 2013, has lots of action and supernatural elements.  

 

Life of Pi came out in November of 2012 and is supposed to be really awesome in 3D.  The book has been out for much longer, but if you like adventure or just a different type of book, this one may be for you.

 

Ender's Game is considered a classic science fiction novel.  If you like war, space, or action flicks, you may want to check out the book and the movie!

The Book Thief is an awesome novel.  It's historical fiction, set during World War II in Germany. Can't wait for the movie...due out in November 2013. 

 

Did you read The Hunger Games? See the movie? Get ready for Round 2: Catching Fire is scheduled for theaters in November!  We have one copy of the book. 

The Hobbit:  The Desolation of Smaug is the second movie to come from J.R.R. Tolkien's novel "The Hobbit."  Scheduled to be in theaters in December 2013.  

Heaven is for Real is a non-fictional account of a young boy's near-death experience and the journey that he & his family have experienced.  Movie is out around Easter of 2014.  

Teens Top 10 nominees for 2014 have been released.  Have you read any of them?

The Giver is an older book with a new movie.  Classic sci-fi plot. 

If I Stay, by Gayle Forman, explores the fine line between life and death.  Lots of publicity for this movie.  I'm sure you've seen the trailer/promos on TV.
