Dear Parent/Guardian,

My name is Ralph Andrews, and I am excited to be your student’s 8th grade mathematicas teacher for the 2014-2015 school year. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to contact me. I do get a chance to check my email throughout different times of the day so it is probably the best way to reach me. My email address is randrews@palmerton.org. You may also write a note and send it in with your child or contact me at school at (610) 826-2492 and I will return your call as soon as I become available.  

As students progress through their academic years, they are or will be expected to handle more responsibilities and they'll need to take more accountability in their actions and 8th grade will be no different. We want to prepare them for what awaits them in their upcoming years so they can meet and surpass their potential at the next levels. This website will help you and your child stay up to date with expectations, events, access to helpful aids, assignments, and tests dates.

One important aid is the students’ agendas. These agendas are designed to help students stay organized and they are highly encouraged every day to utilize this tool to ensure they are up to date with current and upcoming assignments. Please make sure your student is responsible with keeping the agenda up-to-date so that it becomes a habit. Please be sure that you and your child are familiar with our school and district policies that can be found in the agenda.   

If you think your child is having difficulties adjusting to 8^th Grade or with the work in my class, I encourage you to contact me so that you can share your concerns and work towards a solution. Communication between teachers, parents, and students is imperative for a successful school year.
