We have been practing the Preamble of the Constitution while studying the Declaration of Independance. Watch the videos below to participate in activities we complete in class!!! ENJOY!
This year in fourth grade Social Studies, students will be learning various topics. We begin the school year studying the first people who lived here and where they came from. Later we research resources, types of land and major historical events.
Chapter One Social Studies covers Pennsylvania Natural Resources. Students completed a lesson using technology, called a webquest. At the end of the lesson, students had to create a cover for National Geographic. Below you can view an interview discussing the project! Enjoy!

Currently in Social Studies we are studying the first people in Pennsylvania. Students are also learning about the different leaders that founded the area that we call HOME. Pennsylvania's the Place to Be! on Prezi
We also study our fight for independence from Great Britain. Students really enjoy and feel proud to be an American. We introduce the Declaration of Independence and explain what it is. Below is a song that students can review to further their knowledge of a major important piece of legislature.
