Currently, Port Allegany School District has agreements with both Pennsylvania Highlands Community College and the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford to award college credit for coursework completed in the following:

Pennsylvania Highlands Community College 

  •  Computer Applications*
  •  Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) I & II*
  •  Psychology I & II*
  •  Vertebrate Anatomy

University of Pittsburgh at Bradford

  • Advanced Math 
  • Civics & Economics CP
  • Composition I
  • Honors Algebra II
  • Honors Calculus
  • Honors Physics
  • Honors Pre-Calculus
  • Literature and Intrepretation
  • Physics II

Students must check the transfer policy for each college he or she may be considering attending after high school.  A helpful wesite is the PA TRAC (www.PAcollegetransfer.com)

In addition, students attending the Career and Technical Center may be eligible for dual enrollment courses through Pennsylvania College of Technology.  Please see Mr. Young or your course instructor for information.

*Students may have to complete the COMPASS Placement test.
