The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching is open for individuals to apply. This year, it is open for elementary teachers, K-6. It is a phenomenal program where the winners receive a $10,000 award and a week in Washington, DC. Typically there are fewer applicants for elementary teachers which increases the chances of winning! If you teach science in your class, I strongly encourage you to apply for the award . . . it is a great process to be a part of in showcasing your teaching of science. We have a cadre of mentors for you to work with as you go through the application process. I know that there are many of you who would be perfect for the award, and it takes a few minutes of your time to either nominate yourself or another individual. The website is: https://www.paemst.org/ If you have any questions, please contact myself or Ruth Ruud:Ruth.Ruud@yahoo.com
